Ghana Delegation meets with officials of the World Food Invest Fund.
Sep 6- 2025
On the sidelines of the Africa Food Systems Forum, Honourable Eric OPOKU and the Ghana Delegation meets with officials of the World Food Invest Fund. The World Food Invest Fund has shown keen interest in the Feed Ghana Programme and the 24-hour economy. It is an Impact Investment Fund established by the UN World Food Programme (WFP) to drive investment into food systems in frontier markets, with the goal of reducing humanitarian needs and building sustainable, resilient communities. The Fund utilises blended finance instruments, such as concessional loans and equity, to support food system development and achieve long-term positive outcomes aligned with WFP's mission to end hunger. Other side meetings were held on the same day with officials of the World Economic Forum, the Africa Development Bank, the Gates Foundation, IFAD and the Africa Union Commissioner on Agriculture among others.
