Working Visit of the President of Ghana to the Gambia

On 17th January 2025 the Dakar Mission which is also accredited to the Gambia facilitated the visit of H.E John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic Ghana to the Gambia, on his first official trip abroad following his inauguration on 7th January 2025.

The purpose of the visit to show appreciation to his Gambian counterpart, President Adama Barrow, for honoring his invitation to his inauguration ceremony which was held on the 7th of January 2025 and was to discuss shared priorities, including security, trade, and bilateral cooperation. Addressing the press after with H.E. Adama Barrow, meeting, H.E. the President reiterated his dedication to deepening ties with The Gambia. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to President Barrow for attending his inauguration, highlighting the visit as a testament to the enduring friendship between the two nations.
